forgive me if i seem startled
but you remind me of my assassin
so like the woman who broke my heart
that my scars are bleeding

forgive me if i seem troubled
but you smell like the sun which burned me
i still carry the sweet fragrance
like a terminal disease

forgive me if i seem hardenend
but you smile like the heaven that fell
i still carry that tainted weight
and my spine refuses to break

forgive me if i seem to fade
but you sound like ocean that drowned me
i drift farther into nothing
with only the pain to keep me afloat
